Customs Analyst
Description
The selected candidate will support to make invoices for southbound shipments to companies in Mexico under maquila program, also keep contact with Mexican and American brokers as the operation goes, FTZ and IN BOND status knowledge will be a plus, working close with shipping and traffic department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Process Customs documents for Southbound shipments through our Customs system 2TS.
- Create the RHC Form for finished goods returned to Mexican Plants for being reworked and follow up.
- Audit export documentation package (Customs Section) to ensure all documents have been issued properly.
- Contact Mexican Customs Departments (Aduanas CONTEC, ATR, K&S) and request Pedimento Number.
- Follow up shipments of Chemical products with Customs Brokers and provide the MSDS if available.
- Coordinate shipments of machinery, equipment, tooling and other indirect material, with MRO staff.
- Provide Customs clearance instructions to Brokers and Forwarders.
- Assist Customs Coordinator in an efficient operation of the tasks assigned to Customs Department.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required.
- Associates degree, TMM.
- 3 to 5 years of work experience with maquiladora import/export operations.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations and time limit constrains as well.
- Knowledge of Customs records keeping.
- Computer skills in Excel, Word, and Access.
- Available for work different shifts and on Saturdays.
